Adding an international esim from another provider to my ID mobile phone

I have a contract with ID mobile and a physical SIM card but would like to add an esim to the phone from another provider when travelling outside the EU. Am I able to do this or is the phone completely locked into ID mobile?

    Hi there ​@Bdw56, you will be able to do this so long as your phone supports two SIM cards, of course.
