Hi @exhausteduser999,
Thanks for getting in touch, and we’re sorry to hear this has been happening since returning from holiday.
This is actually quite a common occurrence after roaming, where the phone does not automatically switch back properly onto the UK network services once back home.
Please try manually reconnecting to the iD Mobile network first.
For iPhone:
- Go to Settings
- Tap Mobile Service / Mobile Data
- Tap Network Selection
- Turn Automatic OFF
- Wait for networks to load
- Select iD Mobile or Three
- Restart the phone
For Android:
- Go to Settings
- Tap Connections or Network & Internet
- Tap Mobile Networks
- Tap Network Operators
- Turn Select Automatically OFF
- Wait for available networks
- Select iD Mobile or Three
- Restart the phone
We’d also recommend a full network reset afterwards.
iPhone network reset:
- Settings
- General
- Transfer or Reset iPhone
- Reset
- Reset Network Settings
Android network reset:
- Settings
- General Management / System
- Reset
- Reset Network Settings
Please note this may remove saved WiFi passwords and Bluetooth pairings.
Once completed:
- Restart the phone again
- Turn Airplane Mode ON for 30 seconds, then OFF
- Test calls and texts again
We hope this gets everything working normally again.
Regards,
Gemma M
