Calling in Morocco

Hi,

I want to be able to use my phone to make normal (non internet) calls whilst staying in Morocco - both local and international.

The last time I was there, I wasn’t able to unless I used wi-fi or data for platforms such as WhatsApp.

I’ve tried to find the answer on the i.d site and app, but haven’t been able to.

Is there some add-on I can buy (not a data add on) to enable this?

Previously I was willing to pay whatever the rate was (without an add on) but the phone never connected to any of the numbers I called.

Can anyone spell out in simple terms what  need to do/pay etc?

Thanks, Aylia

    Hi @Aylia Fox,

You also have the option of purchasing a Call Abroad add-on if there is one available for the destination and type of calls you need to make.

Alternatively, you can make standard calls while in Morocco at the applicable roaming rates. For this, you’ll need to make sure Roaming and International services are enabled and that your Bill Cap is high enough to allow chargeable usage.

To check or increase your Bill Cap:

    1. Log in to the iD Mobile app.
    2. Go to Bills.
    3. Select Manage bill cap.
    4. Increase your Bill Cap to an amount that will allow chargeable roaming usage.
    5. Save your changes.

Please note that Roam Beyond add-ons are data-only, so they won’t cover standard calls or texts. Depending on how frequently you intend to make calls, we recommend checking the available Call Abroad options and standard roaming rates before travelling.
