Thanks for your question.

At the moment, iD Mobile Wi-Fi Calling is intended for use in the UK. If you're in a country that's not included in iD Mobile's roaming destinations, such as Thailand, iD Mobile services won't work there unless you've purchased the appropriate roaming data add-on or have enough bill cap available for any applicable charges.

As things stand, iD Mobile doesn't support using Wi-Fi Calling abroad in the same way that some overseas providers, such as AIS, do.

We appreciate the feedback though, and it's certainly something we'd be happy to pass on.

International Wifi Calling would be an enormously cheap feature to add and would be a excellent  emergency calling option to call home from anywhere on your UK call plan. 

Maybe something for the future….

If you need to call UK numbers over WiFi while abroad, another option is WorldDial.app.

I built it for exactly this kind of situation. You can call normal UK landline and mobile numbers directly from your browser over WiFi, without relying on your mobile provider's WiFi Calling support.
