Hi @Emmamc84,

Yes, you can use your phone while on a European cruise. However, please be aware that using your phone while the ship is at sea is chargeable, as cruise ships and ferries typically use their own satellite-based network, which isn't covered by standard EU roaming.

To avoid unexpected charges, we recommend putting your phone into Flight/Airplane Mode while you're at sea and only turning it off once you've reached shore or setting your bill cap to £0.00.

The charges while at sea are:

  • Calls to the UK: £6.00 per minute
  • Calls to ships, ferries & cruise liners: £6.00 per minute
  • Receiving calls: £1.50 per minute
  • Texts to the UK: £1.20 per message
  • Texts to ships, ferries & cruise liners: £1.20 per message
  • Picture messages (MMS): £0.60 per message
  • Data usage: £9.60 per MB

Once you're back on land in an inclusive EU destination, your normal roaming allowance will apply again.

Regards,
