Cant use Data when abroad. Tried everything.

I cannot seem to get data through work when I'm abroad. I've selected roaming on the app, and selected roaming on the phone. I feel like I have tried everything, but cannot get it to work. What am I missing, I am stumped.

Using HTC android phone.

I understand how frustrating this can be, especially when it feels like you’ve tried everything already. There are a couple of key things to check when using your data abroad:

 

1. Manually select a partner network
Your phone may be connected to a network that doesn’t support iD Mobile roaming, so it’s worth selecting one manually:

  • Go to Settings
  • Tap Mobile Networks or Connections
  • Select Network Operators
  • Turn off Automatic selection
  • Wait for the list to load, then choose a different available network (try a few if needed)

2. Check and update your Bill Cap
If your Bill Cap is set to £0, it can block roaming usage:

  • Log in to the iD Mobile app or your account online
  • Go to My Account
  • Select Billing or Manage Bill Cap
  • Lower your Bill Cap to £0 (set an amount you’re comfortable with)
  • Save the changes

Once you’ve done both steps, restart your phone and try using data again.
