Data Roaming

Thanks for your question, I’m happy to clarify how roaming works with iD Mobile.

If you’re travelling in one of our 50 inclusive EU roaming destinations, you can use your plan allowance as normal while you’re abroad. This means your data usage comes out of your regular monthly allowance, just as it would in the UK, however, note that calling a non-UK number or texting a non-UK number would result in charges. Depending on the country that you are in, you may need to connect to one of our roaming partners. However, most of the time, it would connect automatically.

If you’re travelling outside of our inclusive EU destinations, roaming isn’t included in your standard plan. However, you do still have options so you can stay connected:

• You can purchase a Data Roaming Bundle when arriving at your destination.
• You can increase your bill cap to allow usage abroad, which helps control spending while still giving you access to services.

We always recommend checking your destination before you travel so you can choose the most cost-effective option for your needs.
