Data roaming add on not working in turkey for my mum

hi, we are currently on a cruise and in turkey. an add on was purchased costing £35, to be able to use data roaming over here. i have tried everything such as restarting the phone, aeroplane mode, checking a capped limit and nothing seems to be getting it to work. please can you help? otherwise i’ll have to request a full refund. thank you!

We're sorry to hear you're having trouble using your Roam Beyond add-on.

From what you've described, it may be that your phone is connecting to the cruise ship's satellite network rather than a mobile network in Turkey. Roam Beyond add-ons only work when you're connected to a supported terrestrial mobile network, so if your device is connected to a maritime or satellite network, the add-on won't be usable.

We'd recommend trying to manually select one of our roaming partners in Turkey to see if this restores your service. Our supported partners are:

AVEA
Vodafone

If you're still close enough to shore to connect to one of these networks, your data should begin working.

If you're unable to connect to either network, it's likely that you're too far offshore and your device is only able to connect to the ship's satellite service, which isn't covered by the add-on.
