DATA ROAMING HELP

I recently travelled to Spain, where data usually is usable, however I could not manage to get my phone to connect to it even by sliding data roaming to ON. I have a Samsung Galaxy S26. Any ideas anyone please? Travelling back again next month and don't really want to purchase an e-sim. Thanks

    Hi @Joolstaxi,

If data roaming was switched on and you still couldn't connect while in Spain, there are a few things you can try before your next trip:

    1. Make sure roaming is enabled on your iD Mobile account through the iD Mobile app or online account.
    2. When you arrive in Spain, restart your phone.
    3. Turn Airplane Mode on for 30 seconds and then back off.
    4. Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks and try manually selecting a network instead of leaving it on automatic.
    5. Check that Mobile Data is enabled and that any data limits on the device haven't been reached.
    6. Reset your network settings before travelling if the issue persists.

As your Samsung Galaxy S26 supports roaming, there shouldn't be any need to purchase an eSIM just to use your allowance in Spain.

If you've already tried all of the above and the issue happens again on your next trip, please get in touch with our Live Chat team while you're abroad so they can investigate further.
