Data Roaming is not an option

Hi

I am due to go abroad to Croatia, Data Roaming is set up on my plan, however when I go into settings on my iphone 15, Data Roaming is not an option. It seems to be missing. I had the same issue last time I went abroad and could not use it. Is iD Mobile is actively blocking roaming at the account level

Hi @NikNak79,

I'm sorry to hear you're having concerns about roaming, especially as you've experienced issues while travelling before.

To reassure you, iD Mobile does not block roaming by default. If roaming is enabled on your iD Mobile account, then the issue is likely related to the handset settings rather than a restriction from our side.

On an iPhone 15, you can normally find the Data Roaming setting by following these steps:

  • Open Settings.
  • Tap Mobile Service (or Mobile Data).
  • Tap Mobile Data Options.
  • Toggle Data Roaming on.

If you're unable to see Mobile Data Options or Data Roaming at all, try:

  • Restarting the iPhone.
  • Ensuring iOS is fully up to date via Settings > General > Software Update.
  • Going to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

If the roaming option still doesn't appear after trying the above, we'd recommend contacting Apple Support, as the setting is controlled by the device software and should normally be visible on the iPhone.

Before you travel, it's also worth checking that Roaming, International and Premium services are enabled on your iD Mobile account through the iD Mobile app or online account.

We hope this helps, and have a great trip to Croatia.

Regards,

Hi @NikNak79 ,

Thank you for the message.

With a mobile network reset, what you'll lose is any existing WiFi connections and passwords saved on the system, you won't lose anything else.
