    Hi @Sma1975,

You won't be charged for receiving text messages while you're abroad, including in the UAE.

This means you can still receive SMS messages such as security codes, banking verification texts, and messages from friends and family without incurring a charge, unless it is a premium text, such as shortcodes and so on, then you may be charged.

It's worth noting that other services may be chargeable while in the UAE, including:

    • Making calls
    • Receiving calls
    • Sending SMS messages
    • Using mobile data

Before you travel, we'd recommend checking the roaming rates for the UAE and ensuring your bill cap is set to an amount you're comfortable with to help avoid unexpected charges.
