Does a 1-day Roam Beyond last for a day or 24 hours?

I notice Switzerland is not in the included countries. I’ll be passing through but just for a day.

If I cross the border at 21:00 in the evening and buy a Roam Beyond add-on, does that expire at midnight, or last 24 hours?

Good question as this is a really common concern with short trips through Switzerland.

Roam Beyond add-ons don’t expire at midnight. They run for a set validity period from the time they’re activated, not based on the calendar day.

So if you buy and activate it at 21:00, it will typically last for the full validity period (usually 24 hours from activation), not just until midnight.

A couple of important things to keep in mind for your situation:

Make sure you activate it after you cross into Switzerland, not before (since Switzerland isn’t included)
Ensure data roaming is switched ON once you’re there
Your phone may briefly connect to a Swiss network partner before the add-on kicks in
