Global Roaming -Singapore, New Zealand and Australia. I would like a suitable roaming plan to include calls as well as data. Can I get such a plan from ID and how much would it cost ?

Thank you for getting in touch with us. I understand that you’re planning a 46-day trip to Singapore, New Zealand and Australia and would like a roaming option that includes both calls and mobile data.

Unfortunately, iD Mobile doesn’t currently offer a single roaming add-on that includes both calls and data for these destinations. Our Roam Beyond add-ons provide data only, while calls and texts are charged separately at the applicable roaming rates. Your usual UK minutes and texts won’t be included in Singapore, New Zealand or Australia under these roaming arrangements.

Data-only roaming add-ons

You can purchase the following Roam Beyond add-ons through the iD Mobile app or your online account:

• 2GB for 1 day: £5
• 10GB for 5 days: £20
• 20GB for 10 days: £35

These add-ons start immediately after purchase, so for a 46-day trip you may need several purchases, depending on your data usage. Please note that these add-ons do not include calls or texts.

Calling add-ons

We also offer the following Call Abroad add-ons:

• Call Abroad 100 Minutes EU: £5 per month
• Call Abroad 150 Minutes Global Faves: £7.50 per month
• Call Abroad 75 Minutes Worldwide: £12 per month

However, these add-ons are for making international calls while you’re in the UK and cannot be used while you’re overseas. They therefore wouldn’t provide a combined calls-and-data solution for your trip.

Given the length of your trip, you may wish to compare a local SIM or travel SIM/eSIM that includes both data and calls, as this could be more cost-effective than purchasing multiple data add-ons and paying separate roaming charges for calls.

I’m sorry we can’t offer a single iD Mobile roaming package that covers both services for the full 46 days. I hope this clarifies the available options and helps you plan ahead.
