how long does it take for a change to spending cap to be applied

I have hit my spending cap whilst abroad and need to make a call back to the UK. I have increased the spending cap but when trying to make calls it still says it’s not possible and the spending cap has to be increased. 
 

how long does it take for the change to feed through and come into effect?

Thanks for your message.

 

If you’ve increased your Bill Cap, please note that this won’t take effect unless there is sufficient credit on your account. To increase your spending limit, you’ll need to add credit equal to the amount you’d like your Bill Cap to be increased by.

 

Once the credit has been added, the change should take effect shortly, and you should then be able to make calls as expected.

 

You can add credit by following these steps:

  1. Log in to the iD Mobile app\
  2. Go to My Account
  3. Select Add-ons / Add credit
  4. Choose the amount and complete the payment
