To call Spain from the UK, you simply need to dial:

+34 (Spain country code) + the Spanish number

or
00 34 + the Spanish number

Please make sure your bill cap is set above £0.00, as international calls are not included in your allowance and will be charged from your bill cap.

can i use minutes/texts to call/text *from* the UK to another UK Mobile that is visiting Spain (a roaming tier 1 country)?

Thanks for getting in touch. 

If you’re in the UK and calling or texting a UK mobile number that is currently in Spain, this is treated as a normal UK-to-UK call/text. So it’s free and included in your allowance (minutes/texts), just like usual.

However, if you’re calling or texting a Spanish mobile number, that is classed as an international call/text, and it wouldn’t be included in your allowance, so charges would apply.

So in short:

UK to Spain - UK number roaming in Spain = included in your plan

UK to Spain - Spanish number = international charges apply

Everything works the same as if they were still in the UK, as long as the number you’re contacting is a UK number
