i cant browse internet on my iphone 8 while in italy. i can make calls, but no browsing possible. does anyone have any suggestions why?

I am travelling in Italy and I cannot do any internet browsing. I can make calls and receive emails, but no browsing at all and no satnav. I am using an iPhone 8 does any one know how to fix this? I cannot do a live chat with idmobile for some reason
