incorrect charges

I have just returned from a trip to Switzerland. I turned off my data the whole time we were there and only ever used WiFi. I also didn't make any phone calls. The day we landed i got a notification message from id to say I had used 80% of my data. My bill for next month is saying it's £86 which I believe is incorrect and want it removed please.

    Hi @Mandamoorara

Thank you for reaching out, and I'm sorry to hear about the unexpected increase to your bill. I completely understand why you're concerned, particularly as you've advised that you had your data switched off and only used Wi-Fi while in Switzerland.

For roaming charges to be incurred, your iD Mobile SIM would need to have connected to a mobile network and chargeable usage would need to have taken place. This can sometimes happen automatically if the SIM remains active in the handset, even if you haven't intentionally used mobile data or made any calls.

To understand exactly what has happened and why you've received the 80% usage notification, please contact us via Live Chat. Our team will be able to access your account, review the itemised roaming usage and explain exactly what has caused the £86 bill.

We apologise again for the confusion and inconvenience this has caused and appreciate your patience while we look into this for you.

Thank you for the reply. I have already spoken to someone via live chat who has said that they can't see my bill on your side until the 10th September. Are these charges contestable as I really don't think it's reasonable to be charged that amount of money when nothing was used.
