Question

is there a roaming limit or not?

The website states “From 1 October 2024 and until further notice, all customers can use their full UK data allowance in Roam Free destinations*, at no extra cost! We’ll notify you when the promotion ends and when the 30GB Roaming data limit is reinstated”. But immediately below this is a contradictory statement suggesting a 30GB limit is in place: which is it?

I’m travelling to Europe shortly and need to know whether, if I have an unlimited data allowance on my ID Mobile SIM, I can roam without any limit

    Hi @SAS642,

    Thanks for getting in touch.

The current position is that, until further notice, customers can use their normal UK data allowance in Roam Free destinations at no extra cost. Therefore, if you have an unlimited data plan, you should currently be able to use your normal allowance while roaming.

We appreciate that the wording on the website can appear confusing, particularly where the previous 30GB fair usage limit is referenced.

As you're seeing potentially conflicting information, we'd recommend contacting our Live Chat team before you travel so they can verify the current roaming allowance that applies to your specific account. You can reach them here: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat.

This will ensure you have the most up-to-date information before you leave.

    Regards,
