no data coverage in Egypt, how can i get data?

hi, I’ve recently moved to Egypt from the UK and my contract dose not cover me in Egypt. I want to buy a new SIM out here so i can use data when i dont have WIFI. The problem is i still have about 9 months left on my contract. is there any update or add on i could have so i dont need to cancel my contract and get a new SIM?

Hi @Tom246,

If you're now living in Egypt, you can still use your iD Mobile SIM there, but as Egypt isn't included in our inclusive roaming destinations, any usage will be chargeable.

You do have the option of purchasing roaming data add-ons. However, these can become quite expensive over a longer period, as the Egypt roaming data add-on is £35 for 10 days of data.

Another option is to increase your bill cap and use data on a pay-as-you-go basis while roaming, but this can also become costly if you're using a significant amount of data.

For this reason, many customers who are living abroad for an extended period choose to use a local SIM for data while keeping their iD Mobile SIM active for their UK number.
