Hi @melmais,

When moving overseas, you’ve got a couple of options depending on what you’d like to do with your number:

1. Cancel your contract

You can cancel your plan before you leave, however if you’re still within your minimum term, this would mean an early termination fee to cover the remaining months of your contract.

2. Move to a SIM only plan

If you’d prefer to keep your UK number, you can switch to a SIM only plan (once you’re eligible to upgrade). This is usually a lower monthly cost, and you can then set your bill cap/spending limit to £0 to avoid any unexpected charges while you’re abroad.

This option is great if you plan to return to the UK or want to keep your number active.

If you’re unsure which option is best for you or want help setting this up, our Live Chat team can guide you through it: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat

Hope this helps, and best of luck with your move!

Regards,
