pathetic roaming in spain

We have been in Spain for 9 weeks now and the roaming is pathetic. You clearly say the Spain is one of the free roaming countries. Well I have to disagree. We have had to pay for esims and use our own mobile modem. 

We are due an upgrade and are seriously discussing changing networks.

I’m really sorry to hear about your experience while you’ve been in Spain for the past 9 weeks. I can completely understand your frustration, especially if you’ve had to rely on eSIMs and alternative connections despite expecting roaming to work more smoothly.
 

Spain is included in our roaming zone, so you should normally be able to use your allowance there without extra roaming charges. However, roaming performance can still be affected by factors like local network coverage, selected partner networks, or device/network settings.
 

If you’re still experiencing issues, please try the following:

Restart your phone
Turn Airplane Mode ON for 30 seconds, then OFF
Go to Settings > Mobile Networks > Network operators and manually select a different available network
Ensure Data Roaming is enabled
If possible, toggle between 4G/3G to test stability
