Phone/SIM not working abroad, please help!

I went to Spain last year and my wouldn’t connect to a network.

 

If I turned my phone off and on it would flash up with a network then the name would disappear so I couldn’t make calls etc. 

 

I’m going again next week and would like to find a way of resolving this before I go. 
 

Any help gratefully received.

Please can you try connecting to Yoigo and Movistar?
