Roam beyond issues in Turkey


Having bought a roam beyond data add on for Turkey I couldn’t get it to work. Having tried all work arounds still not working. ID mobile agent kept telling me that I needed to connect to the Avea network but that wasn’t showing up under available networks. Agent escalated to technical team and tells me that I need to wait 24 hours. After doing a quick google search it turns out that AVEA actually shows up on your phone as Turk Telecom. It would be good if ID mobile agents knew this! Would save a lot of time. Paid for 5 days roaming but actually will only get 4 after the issues today. Not happy ID mobile

Sorry to hear this, while roaming it would be worth trying any networks that show up to connect to manually, the ones in the article mentioned by ​@andewhite are the ones we work with, but it is possible they change the name displayed on their side.
