The 10GB roam beyond I purchased is not working in Memphis USA. I am having to rely on free WiFi in restaurants and hotels.

How do I fix this issue? I have tried switching my phone off and back on but still not working.

Try manually selecting a network rather than letting the phone decide which one to use.

Hi @Peterc59

Thank you for getting in touch, and I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble using your 10GB Roam Beyond allowance while in Memphis. I understand how inconvenient it is to rely on Wi-Fi when you should be able to use your mobile data.

To help get this working, please check the following steps:

  • Make sure roaming is enabled on your handset

Go to your phone’s settings and ensure Data Roaming is switched on.

  • Check roaming is active on your iD Mobile app

Please open the iD Mobile app and confirm that roaming is enabled on your account.

  • Bill cap set to £0

Your bill cap is currently set to £0. This is to protect you from out-of-plan charges. Your Roam Beyond data will still work within your allowance, but charges outside this won’t be possible unless the bill cap is increased.

  • Manually select a network

Please try manually selecting a network instead of automatic selection. In the USA, our partner networks are:

            AT&T

           T-Mobile

You can do this by going to your phone’s Network Settings → Network Operators → turn off automatic selection → choose AT&T or T-Mobile.

Hi Owethu M,

All those settings are correct.

When I switch manual network selection no networks are available.

Regards,

Peter

Hi Welsh Paul,

Thank you for your suggestion but when I switch from automatic selection I just get the spinning wheel for while and then it stops and nothing is found.
