Roaming Beyond USA not working

Hi there

 

Landed in US and realised no roaming included so jumped on airport WiFi and bought 10GB roaming beyond for USA. All settings are correct but still says no data on both ATT and TMobile. Have restarted and reset multiple times. Is trying to take me to a limit is reached page but this is impossible as just bought it. Had been in Europe earlier in the month with no issues.

Any advice.

Thanks for your message, and I’m sorry you’re having trouble getting data working after arriving in the US.

 

If you have an iPhone, please could you try the below:

  • Go to Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Options
  • Make sure Data Roaming is switched ON
  • Tap Network Selection and turn off Automatic, then manually select AT&T or T-Mobile
  • Go to Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Network and ensure the APN is set to mobiledata
  • Restart the phone after making changes

You can also try a full network reset:

  • Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings

 

If you have an Android, you can try the below:

  • Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks
  • Ensure Data Roaming is ON
  • Select Network Operators and manually choose AT&T or T-Mobile
  • Check Access Point Names (APN) is set to mobiledata
  • Restart the device after changes

You can also reset network settings via:

  • Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth

 

A couple of extra things to check:

  • Make sure mobile data is turned ON
  • Toggle Airplane mode ON and OFF
  • Confirm you’ve purchased the correct US roaming add-on and that it’s active on your account

 

If you’re still seeing a “limit reached” message after all of this, please let us know, that usually indicates the add-on isn’t being recognised correctly and we can check this further for you from our side.
