  1. Iā€™m roaming in SpainĀ 
  2. purchased a new iPhone that is eSIM onlyĀ 
  3. currently have physical simĀ 

So advice please. I am on an extended holiday (3 months) but my current iPhone is dying. Iā€™ve purchased a 15 pro and realised itā€™s eSiM only. How do I get around this?Ā 
can I convert to eSIM while abroad?

should I convert then set up new phone hoping the eSIM will transfer across as part of the process?Ā

I desperately donā€™t want to loose access to my sim while Iā€™m out here as itā€™s used for my mum in a care home to call me. She canā€™t use anything other than a traditional landline as she hasĀ advanced dementia.Ā
