Roaming Fair Use Policy

Hi,

I’ve noticed that in the forum recently you’ve been telling people that roaming has a fair use limit of 30GB.

However, the Fair Use Policy still says “From 1 October 2024 and until further notice, all customers can use their full UK data allowance in Roam Free destinations, at no extra cost! We’ll notify you when the promotion ends and when the 30GB Roaming data limit is reinstated.”

Please can you confirm that the “promotion” is still in effect and that if I entered into a new contract I would be able to use my full UK data allowance when roaming? Or is the fair use policy page out of date? Thank you

Thanks for raising this, and I’m sorry for the confusion caused by the information provided.

To clarify, our standard Inclusive Roaming Fair Usage Policy has a 30GB monthly roaming data limit.

The wording you’ve highlighted refers to a temporary promotion that previously allowed customers to use their full UK data allowance while roaming. The current applicable roaming limit is 30GB, so customers taking out a new contract should expect to be able to use up to 30GB of their monthly data allowance in our Inclusive Roaming destinations.

We appreciate that the wording on the Fair Usage Policy page could cause confusion, and we’ll ensure this is fed back to the relevant team.

full UK data allowance while roaming still working for me as I joined before June 23 but will it keep working if I upgrade ?……….Fair usage policy.

Our open data fair usage policy no longer applies, meaning customers who joined iD or upgraded on or before 20th June 2023 can use their full data allowance in our 50 free Roaming destinations without incurring a surcharge.

Hi @plakeland,

If you upgrade, the roaming terms on your new plan will apply.

Customers who joined or upgraded on or before 20/06/2023 can use their full data allowance in our inclusive roaming destinations. If you choose to upgrade, you'll move onto the terms of the new plan you're selecting.
