I have this message. But I still show 32gB remaining. Why is that?

Hi, please be aware that you've started using chargeable services while roaming. Any calls, texts, or data will not come out of your standard UK allowances and will cost between 30p and £15.00 per MB. To keep track of your spending or manage your bill cap, simply log in to the iD Mobile app. For more details on out of plan charges, visit idmobile.co.uk/roaming

    Hi @Sidlu

Thank you for reaching out, and I'm sorry for any confusion caused by the roaming notification. I understand why this would seem strange when your account is still showing 32GB remaining.

The message indicates that your handset may have connected to a roaming network that isn't one of the expected partner networks for France. When this happens, any usage on that network can be treated as chargeable roaming and won't come out of your standard UK allowance.

While you're in France, we'd recommend manually checking your network selection and connecting to one of the supported networks:

    • Orange
    • Free Mobile
    • BYTEL
    • BOUYGTEL

We'd also strongly recommend setting your Bill Cap to £0 while you're travelling. This will prevent any further out-of-plan charges if your handset connects to a chargeable roaming network.

To set your Bill Cap to £0:

    1. Open the iD Mobile app and sign in.
    2. Select your mobile number.
    3. Go to Manage or Bill Cap.
    4. Select £0 as your Bill Cap.
    5. Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm the change.

Once connected to one of the supported French networks, your inclusive roaming allowance should apply in accordance with the terms of your plan.
