Roaming on Turkey with £20 add on not working

I bought the add on day one after receiving the welcome to Turkey message. Connected to Turkcell and Vodafone TR.  Both show signal, but then I get an exclamation mark ❗ on the signal.

I have a Google Pixel. I then followed the steps to fix it. Checked the APN. Reset network settings but to no avail.

I still get no Internet even though it says it's connected.

I've got 4 more days left.  I doubt it will connect. I think I need a refund.

I roamed in Greece earlier this year and it worked perfectly.

Hi @Iancowley111

I am glad that you have managed to get the services working as Turk Telecom would have been the one I would suggest to you, there should not be any charges incurred if you do not use out of plan services.

I've found that the only network I can connect to is Turk Telecom.

Which is not on IDs provider list so I may be charged.

I answered my own question by trying every provider. Wasn't sure if I would be charged and after using Google maps for a bit I check my usage and it went down to 9.9gb. Checked again later and it went down again.

I read somewhere that ID was partnered with Turkcell and a one beginning with A so was wary of trying others in case I was charged.

So advice to people struggling with roaming in Turkey. Try Turk Telecom or the other providers to see which one sticks.
