Question

Roaming takes 4-8 hours to start working when travelling

Hi, everytime I go on holiday to Europe my phone takes 4-8 hours for roaming to start working by 5G. I need my phone for maps once I land and this is highly stressful. 
Any suggestions ?

    Hi I’m travelling to Greece but the problems occurred in both Austria and Italy.

    Thanks for confirming. When you arrive in Greece, I’d recommend performing a network reset, as this can help your device establish a fresh connection with the local roaming network.

     

    iPhone:
    Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

    Android:
    Settings > System/General Management > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

     

    Please note that this may remove saved Wi-Fi networks and Bluetooth connections.

     

    Once completed, restart your phone and allow it a few minutes to connect to a local network.
