Please can you direct me on how to put my phone on roaming when I land in Saudi on the 21st Jul 2026, I don't  mind paying for a full day or so for roaming. I will then activate an esim for the rest of my time there which will last 14 days.

Hi @123p,

Kindly note that Saudi Arabia isn't included in iD Mobile's roaming destinations, so there isn't a Roam Beyond add-on available for use there.

If you'd like to use your iD Mobile service while in Saudi Arabia, you'll be charged at our standard roaming rates. To do this, you'll need to have a bill cap in place.

How to check or change your bill cap:

  • Log in to the iD Mobile app or your online account.
  • Go to Bills.
  • Select Manage Bill Cap.
  • You can adjust this using the slider or by entering an amount (between £0.00 and up to £75.00, depending on your account type).

The current standard roaming charges are:

  • Roaming    Pay monthly
  • Calls to UK*    £3.60
  • Calls to Saudi Arabia*    £3.60
  • Calls received*    £1.50
  • Texts to Saudi Arabia**    £0.60
  • Texts to UK**    £0.60
  • Picture message (MMS) sent**    £0.60
  • Internet and Data (per MB)***    £3.60

* Price per minute.

** Price per message / text.

*** Data is charged or deducted in one kilobyte (KB) increments and any part KB used will be rounded up to the nearest KB.

Because data is charged at £3.60 per MB, we'd usually recommend purchasing a local SIM or eSIM while you're in Saudi Arabia, as this is likely to be much more cost-effective if you plan on using mobile data.
