Hi @Chris01Davies,

Thanks for getting in touch.

You do not need to notify iD Mobile before travelling to Ibiza, and as Spain is included within iD Mobile’s EU roaming destinations, you should be able to use your UK allowances there in line with our roaming policy.

When you arrive, your phone should automatically connect to a supported roaming network. For the best service in Spain, we’d recommend connecting to either Yoigo or Movistar.

If your roaming does not connect properly on arrival, we’d recommend:

  • Restarting your device
  • Turning Airplane Mode on for 30 seconds, then back off
  • Performing a network reset if needed
  • Manually selecting the network

To manually select the network (Android & iPhone):

  • Go to Settings
  • Open Mobile Network / Cellular / Connections
  • Select Network Operators
  • Turn Automatic OFF
  • Wait for available networks to load
  • Select Yoigo or Movistar

To reset network settings:

iPhone

  • Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings

Android

  • Settings > General Management/System > Reset > Reset Network Settings

Please note this will remove saved WiFi and Bluetooth connections.

We’d also strongly recommend setting your Bill Cap to £0.00 before travelling if you wish to avoid any unexpected out-of-plan charges.

You can do this through:

  • The iD Mobile app
  • Your online account
  • Bills > Manage Bill Cap

You can also read more about EU roaming here: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/eu-roaming.

We hope you have a safe journey and an amazing trip to Ibiza!

Regards,
