I have added a top up of £5 and trying to call Sri Lanka from my ID but it it is saying “You are unable to make any calls as you have reached your capped limit”

I added £5 via calling 7777 and also £3 top up on app but still cant call international.

What do I need to do please?

Hi @jjjkkk,

Thanks for your message. I’m really sorry you’re having trouble making international calls, especially after topping up, I understand how frustrating that must be.

The message about your capped limit usually means your account has a spend cap or restriction in place, which can block international calls even if you’ve added credit.

Please try these quick checks:

• Go to the iD Mobile app → Settings / Spend Cap
→ Make sure your cap allows international calling (or is not set too low)
• Check if international calling is enabled on your plan
• Restart your phone after any changes
• Try dialling in full format: +94 (Sri Lanka code) + number

Even with top-ups, international calls can still be blocked if a cap or restriction is active on the account.

If it still doesn’t work after checking your cap settings, let us know.

Hi Lamiya.

Thanks for your message.  I tried all that you suggested and restarted also international is set on.

But it still comes up with the voice message you have reached your called limit.  When I have £5 in credit.

Any other suggestions I can try?

Thanks
