Using iD sim Data Calls Texts in USA

Does my plan include USA roaming for calls, texts and data? If not, what is the cheapest USA roaming add-on for 11/09/2026 to 26/09/2026?

For USA Roam Beyond, does the add-on include only data, or are calls and texts to UK/USA also included? What are the charges for receiving calls and sending texts while in the USA?

    Hi @atwalrs,

    Thank you for your message.

Our standard iD Mobile plans do not include USA roaming. The USA is classified as a "Roam Beyond" destination, meaning your regular UK allowances cannot be used there.

Here are the specific details regarding our Roam Beyond add-ons and out-of-bundle costs:

What does the "Roam Beyond" Add-on include?

Our Roam Beyond add-ons include data only. Calls and texts to either the UK or the USA are not included in these bundles and will be charged at our standard roaming rates.

Standard Out-of-Bundle Charges in the USA

If you do not have an active data bundle, or if you make calls and send texts, the charges are:

    • Receiving calls: £1.50 per minute
    • Making calls (to UK or USA): £1.50 per minute
    • Sending texts: £0.60 per text
    • Receiving texts: Free
    • Standard data (without an add-on): £9.60 per MB

Cheapest Data Add-on Options for Your Trip

Since your trip is 15 days long, and our maximum add-on duration is 10 days, you will need to combine bundles to stay covered. Our available Roam Beyond data add-ons are:
    • 2GB (Valid for 1 day): £5
    • 10GB (Valid for 5 days): £20
    • 20GB (Valid for 10 days): £35

The most cost-effective way to get continuous data for your 15-day trip would be to buy a 20GB (10-day) bundle for £35, and then a 10GB (5-day) bundle for £20 once the first one expires. This would bring your total data cost to £55 for 30GB across the 15 days.

    Thanks,
