I am going to Indonesia and China

What happens to a roam beyond arson when changing countries?

since texts are excluded from roam beyond adding, how is whatsapp treated? how is messenger treated?

Hi @mayoroftavullia,

The Roam Beyond data add-on allows you to use data in countries outside of our 50 inclusive EU roaming destinations. You will need to purchase the relevant add-on for the country you are visiting.

Apps such as WhatsApp and Messenger use data, so they will work as normal once the Roam Beyond data add-on has been activated.

I also learned that a roam beyond add-on is good in only one country, so travellers visiting more than one country need to buy new add-ons as they move from country to country

That’s correct. If you are visiting more than one country and they are not included within our roaming zones, you will need to purchase a separate add-on for each country you visit.

That’s because WhatsApp and messenger use data to send the messages rather than using SMS.

Hi @mayoroftavullia,

We can confirm that WhatsApp would work with roam beyond data, and if you are referring to Facebook Messenger, then yes, that will also work with roam-beyond data. Anything that requires normal data will work, if it requires minutes or counts as a text, it is not included, such as iMessage or SMSing.
