Where is the list of roaming partner networks by country?

I’ve been searching in vain for information about which partner network(s) ID uses in each country.  All questions about roaming generate multiple answers concerning how to enable roaming, how much it will cost and what packages are available to control costs, but very little about which networks are going to be used in the destination country.

This matters because in remote or mountainous areas, not all networks that operate in the country are likely to have coverage.  I have encountered this in the Austrian Tirol for example.  So before going abroad I want to know which partner network I am likely to connect to and look up the coverage map to assure myself that it will work.

Does anyone know where a table of partner networks by country is available, both for ID and for any other operator from whom I might buy a PAYG ESIM?

Hi @iainmackay  I hope the reply from @WelshPaul  was helpful?

Perhaps a shop in the airport may have local SIM cards you can buy?

If you need any further help please let us know. Hope you have a great trip!

Sorry, but both answers above completely miss the point.  Did either respondent actually read the question?

I read your post! You asked for information about which partner network(s) ID uses in each country, and I provided you with a link that provides you with exactly that information. 🙄

My apologies:  I was misled by the link title.  Indeed, that link does include information about the partner networks used.  Sorry for my hasty reply.

It would be good if this and similar lists had additional tags to assist search engines in finding this information, which I still think is a bit obscure.

    This is very useful.

I'm in a situation where one partner provider seems to be terminating my data connection in France(network free). I've switched to one of the alternative providers on the list (orange F) which is working. With Free, I was having to either restart phone or deregister from network and reregister for a bit of working time, then the connection would be dropped again.

The automatic network selection was for Free. On a quick search (note 20 ultra 5g) I can't work out how the phone selects a preferred network (maybe of those who are connectable, signal strength? Not sure how knows which are connectable from partner network point of view).

    A) can anyone from ID tell me why free not working?

    B) is there any issue using any partner provider for a given country on that list?

    C) is there a way of ordering preferred providers? I appreciate however this might be phone specific and Samsung documentation on this poor so may need to contact them

    Thanks!

Hey there @Cakeisbetterthangranola, thank you for reaching out.

    1. Unfortunately, we can’t advise why Free Mobile wasn’t working for you, as we’d need to troubleshoot and investigate that issue further for you.
    2. You should be able to use any of the roaming partners on our list via the link sent by @WelshPaul, and they should work just fine.
    3. Unfortunately, I don’t believe this is something we or yourselves can do. All we can advise is to go with the one that your phone automatically connects with, or to test manually selecting each network to find out which works best for yourself.

    Thanks,

    Tyler
