Will I be charged if I use roaming in Romania 🇷🇴 while on holidays?

Romania is included in iD Mobile’s EU roaming destinations, so if your plan includes roaming in the EU, you can use your allowance there without additional roaming charges in line with your plan terms.

To help avoid any unexpected charges outside of your allowance, we’d still recommend setting your bill cap to £0.00 in the iD Mobile app before travelling.

When you arrive in Romania, if your service doesn’t connect automatically or data isn’t working properly, please try manually connecting to one of our roaming partner networks:

• Telekom Romania
• Orange Romania

For iPhone:

• Open Settings
• Tap Mobile Service / Mobile Data
• Tap Network Selection
• Turn Automatic OFF
• Wait for the list of networks to load
• Select Telekom Romania or Orange
• Go back and make sure Data Roaming is switched ON
• Restart the device

For Android:

• Open Settings
• Tap Connections (or Network & Internet)
• Tap Mobile Networks
• Tap Network Operators
• Turn Select Automatically OFF
• Wait for available networks to appear
• Select Telekom Romania or Orange
• Check Data Roaming is switched ON
• Restart the device

Once connected, give it a few minutes to register fully.
