To switch to another network, you just need to request a code from us and give it to your new provider. They'll handle the rest of the switch for you.

What is a PAC and STAC?

  • PAC (Porting Authorisation Code): Use this if you want to keep your iD Mobile number.
  • STAC (Service Termination Authorisation Code): Use this if you want a new number.

How do I get a PAC or STAC?

Option 1: The iD Mobile app (Recommended)

This is the quickest way to get your code and see exactly what you might need to pay (if anything).

  1. Open the iD Mobile app or log in to my.idmobile.co.uk.
  2. Tap Plan.
  3. Tap Leave iD.
  4. Tap Switch to another network.
  5. Select Yes, I want to keep it (for a PAC) or No, I don't need it (for a STAC).
  6. Follow the steps to confirm your choice.
  7. We'll text you a security code. Enter this in the app and your PAC or STAC will appear on the screen.

Option 2: Text us (Free)

  • For a PAC: Text PAC followed by your Date of Birth (DDMMYY) to 65075.
    Example: PAC 171202
  • For a STAC: Text STAC followed by your Date of Birth (DDMMYY) to 75075.
    Example: STAC 171202

Option 3: Live Chat

Our Live Chat team can also issue a PAC or STAC for you.

Please note: Your code is valid for 30 days. If you don't use it within that time, your iD Mobile account will stay open and you'll continue to be billed as normal.

Will I be charged a fee?

  • If you are out of contract: There is no fee to leave. You will only pay for your usage up until your disconnection date.
  • If you are still in contract: You will be charged an Early Termination Fee. This is calculated by adding up the remaining monthly charges on your contract and including any other charges up until your last bill.

You can find out exactly how much this will cost by using the Leave iD section in the app (as shown above) or by texting INFO to 85075.

What happens next?

Once you give the code to your new provider, they will arrange the switch. Your iD Mobile account will automatically disconnect once the switch is complete.

We will produce your final bill shortly after.

Important: DO NOT cancel your Direct Debit. We need an active Direct Debit to take the final payment (including any remaining line rental or extra usage charges). You will not be charged after that date.

You can still log in to the iD Mobile app or my.idmobile.co.uk for 6 months after you leave to view your previous bills.
