cancelling in final month

So coming to the end of my 24 month contract,  all payments made including the final one which covers the period of 8th Sept to 7th Oct. 

when I requested a PAC they say I need to pay an extra £10.70 !!

Why when I've made all 24 payment up to the end of my contract

Hi Tyler, I've tried that and they can't give me a reasonable / understandable explanation

basically something to the effect it's because I'm ending my contract early, I explained that my contract ends on the 8th October and I have just paid my 24th payment which cover up to the final date. 

She said wait until your contract ends and there won't be any charge. 

I said but surely that would then mean I was in the next billing period and therefore would incur a charge?

She then said well don't wait till it ends cancel before it does
