Question

How to get a new number with ID

I have been with ID for 6 months of my 12 month contract but the service is rubbish at home, i have had enough of conversations consisting of “Can you hear me” “are you still there” and “I will hang up and call you back”

Would love if ID could do me a deal with reduced payment to leave, failing this can I get a PAC code to give to new supplier  and have a new number assigned to the remaining 6 months of this account.

Many thanks

Hi @Russell811,

I’m really sorry to hear about the issues you’ve been having with your service – I can completely understand how frustrating that must be, especially when it’s affecting your calls like that.

Before looking at leaving, it may be worth trying a quick network reset, as this can sometimes help improve signal and call quality:

Go to Settings
Tap General management (or System)
Select Reset
Tap Reset network settings
Restart your phone afterwards

In terms of your options, if you do request a PAC code and move your number to another provider, this would close your iD Mobile plan, and as you’re still within your 12-month contract, an early termination fee would apply for the remaining months.

As this is a public platform, we’re not able to access your account or discuss any potential offers or options in detail here. I’d recommend contacting our Live Chat team so they can review your account and see what support may be available: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat

They’ll be able to go through everything with you and help find the best way forward.

Regards,

Thanks Gemma I have tried but i pinned my hope on the merger with Vodafone, however that made no difference even though home has a strong Vodafone signal.

The main problem is wifi calling if i turn this on it can not makes calls without dropping all the time, if i turn it off the phone struggles with accessing my home network, I have signed to a new network as 6 months trying is all i can give to id.
