I want to Leave ID as my contract is coming to an end on 09th May 2026. I do not want to switch to any other service provider as well. Simply close my plan/ contract and close the number as well. Can I close it today/ before the contract end date ..?

Hi @Lokanath

Thank you for getting in touch.

Yes, you can arrange to close your iD Mobile plan before or on your contract end date if you no longer wish to continue the service.

As you do not want to keep the number or move it to another provider, you can request a 30-day disconnection directly through the app.

📱 How to cancel your plan in the iD Mobile app

  1. Open the iD Mobile app
  2. Go to My Account
  3. Select Thinking of leaving or Leave iD Mobile
  4. Choose Cancel my plan
  5. Follow the on-screen steps to request disconnection

📌 Important information

  • A 30-day notice period applies for cancellation
  • If your minimum term ends on 09/05/2026, cancelling now may still generate a small final bill depending on the exact disconnection date and billing cycle
  • Once disconnected, your mobile number will be permanently closed and cannot usually be recovered

🔄 Alternative option (if keeping the number)

If you later decide you want to keep the number but not stay with iD Mobile, you would need to request a:

  • PAC → to move your number to another network
  • STAC → to move to another network without keeping the number

Thank you for the response. Coming to 30-day notice thing. Does it mean the plan will be cancelled in 8th June 2026, if so are they going to debit 34£ as a monthly plan charges..?

Hi @Lokanath.

Thank you for your post.

Please note that the contract expiry date does not automatically disconnect your account. The service will continue on a rolling basis until a disconnection request is submitted. Therefore, the expiry date itself is not used when calculating your final charges.

Once your disconnection is processed, your final bill will be based on your usage and the timing of the cancellation within your billing cycle.

If you have paid in advance for line rental covering a period after your disconnection date, you will receive a credit for any unused days.

Thanks,

Marquerita
