Frustrating…
I lost my iPhone 16 on holiday. Travel insurance company have paid me less than the iPhone 16 is currently priced leaving a shortfall of £150.
However, instead of buying a new handset at £699 I’ve had the idea to use the insurance money to pay off my current contract which has around 12 months left to run (£490ish)
I could then start a new contract with ID mobile which to get a replacement phone and ID would get me for another 2 years.
However, ID (as with most I imagine) don’t do internal porting. This means Id lose my number. Therefore ID are going to lose me as a customer as Ill have to go elsewhere to keep my number.
I like ID mobile, but not more than I hate the idea of changing my phone number and the inconvenience it would cause having to update details everywhere.
