need to leave with minimum charge and messed up

My 24 months contracted ended today and wanted to downgrade the monthy charge while giving 30 day notice..I switched to from £35 a month contract to £6 months contract as it said monthly. It did not say ot was fixed term contract. I select the £6 plan and then got how much it cost to leave and it was 32.05 But it is now showing i have £6 a month contract for 24 months...and have to pay over 50 to leave...?   I just wanted to leave ID mobile with paying minimum.  Can you help? I need to speak to someone.
