New contract with Carphone warehouse but staying with the same network

Hi, I do have a current sim card contract with ID and i want to get Samsung S26 ultra but the deals on the ID app are not satisfactory. I have found a great deal with Carphone warehouse and also with ID I’ve asked on live chat if they can match this but apparently they cannot do this.

So I’m guessing I will have to close my current account with ID and request PAC code either when I'm staying with the same network? How soon i will be able to move my number and when i should request a PAC code? Thank you in advance!

I’m really glad you’re exploring your options. I understand wanting the best deal for the iD Mobile upgrade or new handset.

About price matching

Unfortunately, upgrade or handset deals cannot be price-matched, even if you find a better offer elsewhere.

PAC code and switching network

If you decide to leave and move your number to another network:

You should request your PAC code only when you are ready to switch provider.
You can obtain your PAC by texting “PAC” to 65075 from your mobile.
Your number will usually transfer within 1 working day after giving the PAC to your new provider.

Important: Once the number transfer is completed, your iD Mobile contract will close, and any final charges will be billed.
