Transfer phone number and contract to my 18 year old son

My son is now 18 and has been using a phone registered to me. I want to transfer my phone number and SIM only contract to him - with him also paying the monthly direct debit. (I have another separate SIM only contract for my own phone.)

Can I do this, or is it better that he sets up a new contract (with ID mobile or elsewhere)? In which case I will cancel the existing ID mobile contract (I am out of the fixed 12 month contract).

I am so sorry we do not offer a change of ownership service, so we're unable to transfer your existing iD Mobile account or contract into your son's name. The best option would be for your son to take out a new iD Mobile contract in his own name.
