Changing Billing Name

I set up a mobile account for my son so has my billing details, now he’s old enough and working he wants to take this on but I can’t change the billing details and he doesn’t want to change the number, what can be done?

I understand you would like to transfer the ownership of the account to your son while keeping the same mobile number.

Unfortunately, iD Mobile does not offer a change of ownership facility. This is because the credit agreement and checks were carried out in your name when the contract was taken out, and therefore the account must remain in your name.

If your son would like the service in his own name, he would need to take out a new contract with iD Mobile in his own details.

In terms of keeping the same mobile number, we are also unable to offer internal porting between iD Mobile accounts. The only option available would be a “triangle port” process, where the number is first moved to another network using a PAC code, and then ported back onto a new iD Mobile contract taken out in your son’s name.
