Hi @Bexleyboy ,

No worries at all!
Since you want to move from a SIM-only deal to a contract and keep your number, you’ll need to request a PAC code from your current SIM-only account. Once you have the PAC code, you can give it to iD Mobile when setting up your new contract, and your number will transfer over.

Hi @Bexleyboy

Thank you for the information provided.

Could you please confirm whether you completed an upgrade on your existing iD Mobile SIM-only deal? If it was an upgrade, your number would remain the same and simply be linked to the new contract.

Alternatively, did you purchase a new plan? If it was a new plan, we’re unfortunately unable to transfer your number to it, as our system does not allow porting numbers between two iD Mobile accounts. This could result in the number being lost.

You can, however, transfer a number from a different network to iD Mobile, or from iD Mobile to another network.

The only way to keep your number with iD Mobile is either by upgrading your existing contract (which converts it to a new one while keeping your current number), or by completing a “triangle port-in” using the steps below:

• Transfer your number from iD Mobile to another provider (such as EE).
• Request a PAC code from that provider.
• Use the PAC code to transfer the number back to iD Mobile on the new account.

You need to port your old iD number onto a different network use a PAYGO SIM. Once this has be done , get a PAC code from you new network and now PORT that back into IDMobile to the new IDMobile number. That about the only way to retain your original IDMobile number.

No you have not lost your original number unless you've close that  contract account..

Hi @Bexleyboy

Don’t worry, you have not lost your number!

That’s correct as @JoeKing has advised, you would need to port the old iD Mobile number to a different network provider on a Pay As You Go plan, when the transfer has been completed successfully and the number is active on the Pay As You Go plan, you can the request a PAC code from the network provider and provide it to iD Mobile for the old number to be ported back to iD Mobile on your new plan.

Thanks @JoeKing for helping @Bexleyboy with this.

The advice given by @Lamiya C above is incorrect. You can’t transfer a mobile number between two ID Mobile accounts. To keep your existing ID Mobile number you need to upgrade your current account. You can do this by calling the ID Mobile sales team on 020 7139 1397 between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

If that doesn’t work for you, port the number you want to keep to another network and then port it back to your new iD Mobile account.
