I’m currently with ID & have got a new contract  with ID but NOT via an upgrade, just a new contract.
How do I use my pac code to keep my number?

thankyou

Give the PAC to another network and port it out. Then get another PAC and port it back to iD Mobile.

Hi @Frosty3011

I’m really sorry, but our system does not allow internal number transfers. You can, however, transfer a number from a different network to iD Mobile, or from iD Mobile to another network. The only way to keep your current number with us is by upgrading your existing contract, which will create a new plan while retaining your old number.

What @WelshPaul mentioned is also a possible solution, however this can be very risky so it's not something we would usually recommend.

What do you mean by port it in and out ?

Port out the number you want to keep to another network, wait 24 hours and port it back to iD Mobile.

Hi @Donna Blackburn,

When we say “port in” or “port out”, we’re simply talking about moving your phone number between networks:

  • Port in - bringing your existing number to iD Mobile from another network.
  • Port out - transferring your number away from iD Mobile to a different network.

It’s just the process of keeping the same number when you switch providers.
