Hi, I'm trying to change the email associated with my ID mobile account, but the system needs to send a text with a code to my phone number. My problem is, I do not have a phone for the number as the SIM is used for data only in a router. Is there another way to request a code e.g. to my original email address then another to my new email. I cannot plug the SIM into a phone easily as the router is 70 miles away. Cheers Ken

Hi @Ken Roper ,

I am so sorry however our sim cards are for phones so to receive the code you have to insert it into a smartphone. You can just insert it for few seconds to receive the code and just pop it back into the router.

Thanks,

Isa🎀

Hi Isa, thank you for your rapid reply, not the answer I was hoping for, but now I know this is the only way, I will take an old phone with me next time I go to Wales and do as you suggest.

Cheers Ken

Go into your Router settings; most have a section in the settings for receiving + sending texts.

Text option on my current TP Link router, and previous Huawei.
