Last month (December 2025) I changed my direct debit details. Since then, iD Mobile have been plaguing me with confirmatory texts - 18 so far in just over one month. Every text is identical, saying the DD has been reinstated. I ONLY NEED ONE, NOT 18! I tried talking to customer service but the agent initially failed to understand the issue, then told me to change my marketing preferences in my app, then finally fobbed me off saying the technical team would ‘fix it’. I then pointed out the my iD app does not offer me the option to change any marketing preferences and got the same pathetic answer about the tech team fixing it. What will they do, design a new app just for me? How the hell do I get iD to stop sending me the same text message 3-4 times EVERY WEEK?
